Welcome to Detroit Outpost. We are a small, highly experienced group of paddlers that take pride in offering a unique and personal experience that cant be found anywhere else in Detroit. We offer guided kayak excursions throughout the Detroit Riverfront, Belle Isle and the historical canal districts. Our guests enjoy paddling to sites filled with breathtaking views of the city, nature preserves, and historic architecture. We pride ourselves on providing a unique and personal experience. Whether your group books a private paddle or you decide to join an open paddle, our kayak excursions are perfect for a night out with friends, first dates, celebrations, family gatherings, corporate events and team building.

We love a good sunset on the river and paddling under a full moon. We enjoy spending time inside the secluded wetlands of Belle Isle or traversing Detroit’s scenic canals. Novices and pros become repeat guests and are a welcome addition to our river family.

We limit our group sizes to make sure you can make the most out of a paddle while, at the same time, ensuring your safety. 

Our operation is located inside of Greyhaven Marina which is adjacent to Detroit’s Maheras-Gentry park. We have easy access to Belle Isle, Peche Island, and Detroit’s Historic Canal District.
